Pre-K Supply List

Dear Parents/Guardians,

            Welcome to St. Joan – St. George Pre-K!

This letter is being written in order to help you prepare for Preschool as you make out your shopping list for supplies.  (Don’t forget to bring your little one with you for a new backpack or lunchbox to psyche them up!  :>) Please be sure the backpack is large enough to fit artwork without folding – don’t get a mini-bag.

            For your convenience, you may bring the supplies in (not backpacks or lunch bags) on the evening of our Open House and leave them in the Pre-K hallway (NOT the classroom please) on top of the shelf above the hooks and on top of the metal cabinet.  All school supplies will end up in a ‘general kitty’ but your child’s personal belongings (like clothing) should be labeled with their name in permanent marker.  Please sign off in the classroom if and when you bring school supplies in.

            The following is a list of items that your child will need as well as items that you will NOT need.  *Again, please be sure that all lunches, jackets, clothing, and backpacks are labeled with your child’s name in permanent marker.

            *6 glue sticks (not colored or purple)                    We provide pencils

              for $5.40 (for magazine subscription)

Additionally, Pre-K Parents will sign up to provide snack twice a year.  This has worked very well!  (Please see the sign up sheet in the classroom)  And, we will have a wishlist of items that could be used by the teacher (for the benefit of all the children/classroom) posted in the front entrance of the school on ‘blue raindrops’ for anyone who cares to donate.

            I am most appreciative of your contribution to the program.  However, if any parent feels they cannot supply these items, please see me personally.
